Prior to leading Virginia Partners Bank as a founding director and executive officer in 2007, Lloyd served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mercantile Southern Maryland Bank and its predecessor, Calvert Bank and Trust, from 2001 to 2007.
Over the years, he has served on the boards of many civic and charitable organizations. He currently is chairman of the Fredericksburg Regional Alliance, and treasurer and trustee of The George Washington Foundation.
Lloyd is a former chairman of the board of directors of Asbury Communities, Inc., former director of Westminster American Insurance Company, and former chairman of the board of Virginia Association of Community Banks.
He has an undergraduate degree in English from The University of Virginia and a Master in Business Administration from The College of William & Mary.
